I started working on Reading & Leeds Festival website in 2007. Working with Festival Republic, the brief was as simple as the brand - Its all about the music and that’s what is so great about Reading & Leeds Festivals, its message being so simple.
The colors, the logo and the poster layout has stayed the same for over 40 years and some how its managed to stay clear of all the commercial bombardment that happens at many of today’s festivals. When the tickets go on sale they are gone in seconds and is probably the greatest festivals I can say I have worked on.
Working at Live Nation in a team passionate about music and festivals, the web site tries to mirror that simple message and keeps its focus around artist discovery. For the first few years I was responsible for the design and worked closely with developers to help with the build. In recent years I have been responsible for overseeing the festival on-line strategy, design and user interface for each feature and update.
