Metal Goodness

The kiddies were out in force last night to see Trivium at Hammersmith Apollo, and so was I ... lost in a world of wonder 'how come i suddenly look so old" .. Oh yeah , cause these little nippers around me are the new generation of metal heads.

What was once all about Metallica was now a new breed of black t-shirt; red faced; and wet to the bone, moshing like the world is about to end.

The show was tight loud and full of hair. A perfect metal gig and with supports act Annihilator. A must see /// 4 stars ... no pyrotechnics.

Top 100 Movies ... well almost

I am still trying to figure out what my all time films are. I ended up swapping and changing so much that I left IMDB (Internet Movie Database) work it out for me, which is quite good really. Once I had done that I wanted to own them all, started trawling though Amazon used DVD collections, Anyway, I have put the list here http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=27761434, I hope you see something that catches your eye, if you do, and I know you, then See It! There is a mesh mash of stuff here but all in all they are all good in their own way ... I am only up to 81 at the moment, but hopefully in the next couple of days i will be able to finish it off \ or work a way of feeding it into this blog.

Save The Spitz

After the usual Thursday night jam in friendly Hackney I was making my way home on the tube when I read about future closure of the famous London venue ... Now normally I am the usual Londoner that would ignore this news and turn the page, but as the band is playing there soon I thought I would lend a hand. Believe me if you know me, charity is not in my nature, But there is a Save The Spitz campaign site, click below to sign a petition at http://www.spitz.co.uk/save_the_spitz.htm

Future of Web Design

Yesterday i went to The Future Of Web Design Conference in High St Kensington. I was thinking this was going have a more detailed approach to what is currently the issues and problems that designers are facing today. Instead we had a grand excuse to case study some examples of big budget sites and campaigns. Although very interesting in places, I couldn’t help thinking, what’s in this for me, other than wishing i had 500k to spend on a campaign for coke or fast food waste.

On the upper side the girl from Flickr gave a good presentation on work flow and Web 2 Philosophy and the importance of work flow techniques.

I’m glad I attended but not again if it maintains its same format.
